10 The Aspire Academy Global Summit is the platform on which delegates from 40 Clubs and 10 Federations that form the Aspire in the World Fellows community attend an annual Summit to discuss methodological and applied principles essential to different topics related to football performance. Created from an innovative concept to advance the future of modern football, the Aspire in the World Fellows was able to find ways to reduce distance between its members, during this difficult pandemic period through webinars and virtual platform to connect people from all around the world. This online summit edition was modelled on the Fellows Talks, Workshops and Research presentation section. This year the summit moved from roundtable to TED Talk format as we learnt from inspirational speakers from different sports and fields. We travelled from football, fencing, athletics, eSports and to Space. Fellows Talks The Summit began with five fascinating stories, 15 minutes each, driven by inspirational talks from outstanding diverse speakers. Personal stories and speeches, with emotional leadership concepts of success in sport and life were served to the participants. Workshops These brilliant speeches were followed by workshops where the participants split into 10 groups of about 15 members, discussing the 5 topics derived from the speeches and led by a moderator. At the end of the 60 minute workshops, all the key findings were gathered and shared between the Fellows participants. Research Presentation This session was made up of a presentation on the Research Fellows Survey recently designed by the Aspire Fellows scientific committee. It will be part of the second common researchon “Organizational structures and working practice of elite youth football academies”.
