30 be something that’s done outside of that as a requirement. I think that training polarization makes sense for a lot of sports. From your perspective, as a Football outsider, in which area you see room for improvement? Torres: I don’t know what is happening worldwide, but at the highest level of performance we still have a lot of injuries. We need to think and rethink what we are doing, that we are not maintaining the numbers at the same level or decreasing the rate of injuries. So this is the area that we need to really start critically thinking about our processes and systems. We are not getting better at preventing injuries. That’s the first one that comes to mind. Fudge: I think when I look at football or any team sport, one of the issues is obviously just the individualization of training diet and so on, across big squads. What I see potentially happening in the future and this isn’t just for football, but it’s for all sports, health and wellness and the general population. It is an individualized approach to train and prescribe exercise and diet that has a genetic component to it. There are kits that you can buy now that look at genetics and so on, but I think it’s still in its infancy. I think over the next decade or so I think we will move far more towards individualization. I might be able to do with a runner what you might be able to do across the score of players or so on in the future. I think that’s one really exciting area of research. I think everyone who is interested in performance should be keeping an eye on.
