Aspire in the World Fellows is an exclusive community of 50 of the best football Clubs, Federations and Leagues in the world representing the 5 continents.
The Aspire Academy Global Summit is a milestone in the Aspire in the World Fellows program, in which delegates of Fellows members attend the Summit to discuss methodological and applied principles inherent to different topics related to football performance.
The program was launched by Aspire Academy (Qatar) in 2014 with the mission of bringing together the best professionals in the world of football through the sharing of knowledge and practical experiences. Every year in October, the staff of the Fellows' Clubs and Federations meet at the Aspire Academy Global Summit to discuss topics of common interest around football performance.
The dynamic of the Summit included a Master Class, Star Chats, Round Tables and Workshops, with the aim to stimulate discussions on the Summit topics selected each year.
Master Class
This is a one-hour master class given by a globally recognized football manager. The master class is a passionate and inspiring talk, and where concepts of coaching and training methodologies are dissected.
Stars Chats
During the two days of the Summit we will have four Stars Chats involving a notable football managers, coaches, and former football players. These professionals are interviewed sharing their insightful experiences and knowledge with the audience.
Round Tables
Three main topics will be discussed during the two days of the summit and each topic is made up of two halves of 45 minutes sessions per topic. Each session is conducted by a moderator and three guest speakers from different Clubs/Federations. The Aspire Fellows are part of the audience and are involved in the interaction with the guest speakers not only through questions but also engaging in debates regarding current practices and philosophies. Each session starts with a preamble on the topic from the moderator and a few minutes of introduction from the three speakers, including an overview of their specific activities related to the designated topic. The sessions progress to an open chat with questions from both the moderators and the audience.
Workshops
The workshops provide a unique window of opportunity for knowledge sharing on selected topics in an informal setting. Representatives from Clubs and Federations as Technical Director, Performance staff, medical and sports sciences, the topics of the Summit will debate from physical performance and technical-related perspectives. The workshops featured exchanges with representatives from elite clubs and national federations distributed based on their domain knowledge and expertise.
At the beginning of the Summit and at the end of the last day, all the delegates will be involved in two workshops of 90 minutes each. There are 6 workshops (two for each topic) which are conducted simultaneously on the pitch. At the end of the Summit the moderator and one representative of a Club/Federation from each topic will share the key outcomes and conclusions of their workshop discussion with all the audience.
