/104 9TH ASPIRE ACADEMY GLOBAL SUMMIT Fondazione Pupi is my family. It is part of me. We have worked for over 20 years now. We felt obliged to give something back to my country, to do something to help our kids in needs. The foundation was created in 2001, a very difficult year for my country, so manyproblemscamealong,especially for young people, and we tried to do something through health and sport. We founded this foundation, we started with 39 children and now, after 20 years, we are working with over 1000 families and I take great pride in what are doing with this foundation. It is an honor for me to be able to give something back to these young people, to give them opportunities for a better future and let them dream about the future, just like I could do when I was a child. I would tell them, never stop dreaming, because dreams can come true. But you cannot take anything for granted, you need to put a lot of effort into things, you need to sacrifice yourself and you need to be a good person. You need to be at the service of others, you need to help others out and if you have a passion, then pursue your passion. I was a kid who had a lot of dreams, and I made my dreams come true. But in order to do that, behind all of those dreams there were a lot of challenges and the difficult journey, but it was a beautiful journey. And about that, thinking about what is best for the football world, getting involvedwith “Fondazione Pupi” for some time now. What does that give to you? When youwere a kid, and you were 10 or 12 years old, you would have liked to receive a piece of advice. What would you suggest to a 10 or 12 year old kidwho has a lot of dreams but does not howtomake themcome true?
