Mutaz Barshim: I grew up in a normal family. My father used to be an athlete, so sports ran in the blood of all our family. One vivid memory is that my father was a hero because he frequentlyappeared onTV.Whenever I played football in the streets, I was always considered special because of my father. I aspired to be like him. From a young age, I accompanied him to stadiums, trying to capture some of the spotlight he enjoyed. This marks the beginning of my passion for sports.
