/01 ABOUT ASPIRE ACADEMY ABOUT ASPIRE ACADEMY Producing champions in sport and life has been Aspire’s goal since it was established in 2004 and from then it has emerged as a leading global sports academy for young talent. The Academy integrates world-class facilities and expertise in sports and academics to offer promising young athletes a platform for future success. Catering for boys aged 12 to 18 with sporting potential, Aspire Academy employs a comprehensive approach to developing that potential. Aspire’s student-athletes benefit from the very latest techniques in areas such as physical development, sports science and data analysis alongside their academic learning, ensuring holistic development. While the academy focuses on its core sports of football, athletics, fencing, squash and table tennis we also collaborate with other Qatari sports federations to provide fitness training and the academic side of student-athletes’ development. Our student-athletes and graduates have represented Qatar in major events at local, regional, continental and global levels. The Academy’s highest- profile success stories include the 18 footballers who were part of Qatar’s squad at the 2022 World Cup, high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim, a three- time world champion and Olympic gold medallist and squash player Abdulla Al Tamimi. Aspire Academy’s football department collaborates closely with the Qatar Football Association, contributing to the development of professional players and consistently supplying talent to Qatar’s national teams. As well as those who were included in the 2022 World Cup squad, the Academy played a pivotal role in the success of the Qatar team in the AFC Under-19 Asian Championship in 2014 and the historic AFC Asian Cup victory in 2019. As well as our dedication to sporting development, the Academy also maintains the very highest academic standards and in 2023 it was re- accredited by the Council of International Schools. Embracing multiculturalism, internationalism, and modern learning techniques, Aspire Academy aims to produce champions not only in sports but also in life.
